Major Services

Discovery

All investigative reports and other information are placed in the case file as it is received and will become discovery in the case. 

County Court

The County Court unit is responsible for the prosecution of misdemeanor and traffic offenses in El Paso and Teller Counties.

District Court

District Court is the largest unit in the office and handles the most serious and violent crimes, including murder, kidnapping, and sexual assault.

Juvenile Prosecution

This division works to protect the public from victimization by repeat juvenile offenders. The course of prosecution must provide opportunities for rehabilitation.

Diversion Services

Designed to protect the public from future victimization by repeat offenders and to provide opportunities for first time offenders to be held accountable, repair harm, and reduce the risk of reoffending.

Specialty Units

Geared to lower recidivism, increase public safety, and guide defendants into becoming more productive members of the community.
